Dear Otto Family,

We hope you are keeping well and safe during these uncertain times.

Since our last email we have been working closely with the banks regarding Otto Car’s loan repayments. At this moment in time we’re not in a position to provide temporary relief in rental payments to our family of PCO drivers because it’s taking longer to get the support needed from the banks. 

Since March 2020 we’ve been offering various levels of financial support to our family of PCO drivers but this isn’t sustainable for us as a business long-term. For this second lockdown, it’s become more difficult to get the support from the banks and this is having a knock on effect for our PCO drivers.

We are making progress but cannot give a specific timeframe at the moment. We understand this is not exactly what you want to hear but rest assured we’re working tirelessly to do everything possible to provide support during this period.  

We’re currently monitoring the lockdown situation closely, analysing telematic data, talking with London-based private hire operators and gathering feedback from drivers. So far signs have been optimistic, with more cars on the road and people on the streets, indicating we won’t see a return to the level of lockdown we experienced earlier in the year.
