Private hire insurance is designed specifically for drivers working with licensed operators like Uber, Bolt, or FreeNow. Unlike standard car insurance, it provides coverage for private hire work, which includes carrying passengers for hire or reward.

- Fully comprehensive cover for private hire work, food and parcel delivery, and personal driving, i.e. covering both Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) and Hire and Reward (H&R) use.
- Unlimited liability for causing injury or death to others.
- Coverage up to £5 million for damages to other vehicles or property.
- Public liability coverage of up to £5 million.
- Protection against loss, damage, or theft of your vehicle and its parts.
- Windscreen coverage with low excess costs (£25 for repairs, £100 for replacements).
- Optional coverage: ‘Hassle-free’ bolt-on (breakdown cover & courtesy car).
- Excess of £1,000, with option of reducing to £250.
- Hold a valid private hire licence.
- Be registered with a private hire operator and have completed at least 100 trips.
- Reside and work in England.
- Hold a full UK driving license for at least one year.
- Drive a vehicle with nine seats or fewer (including the driver’s seat).
- Be aged 25–64.
- Have no more than two fault claims and/or three non-fault claims in the past three years.
- Have no more than six points on your license and no major convictions (e.g., IN10).
