How does the Dashcam Scheme work?

    • £9 booking fee (paid upfront)
    • £40 installation fee (paid on day of installation)
    • £25 monthly fee for 6 months
    • Total ownership cost £199
    • After 6 months, you fully own the dashcam!
    • Includes a free cloud subscription for 1 year
    • Support service 0930 – 1700 (Mon–Fri)

Yes, after paying the upfront fee, you'll own the camera after 4 payments of £25.

No, this is available to PCO drivers in Greater London.

Then your PCO car already has the Dashcam installed and you won't require this scheme.

Please bring proof that you own the vehicle (or permission from owner), driving licence, insurance certificate, proof of address within the last 3 months, PCO licence & badge, your bank details and the vehicle itself for installation.

Between 30 - 60 minutes depending on the make and model of the PCO car.

No, the system is fitted via the fuse box and separately fused to prevent any electric faults to the PCO car.

Approximately 7 days. This depends on a variety of factors including driver usage.

On Thursday every 4 weeks.

No, you'll need to have the Dashcam removed first or contact us for further information.

The cloud subscription is free for your first year, then costs £49 per year (subject to change).

Footage can be manually retrieved from the device's SD car for free. If you have an active cloud subscription (free for your first year), footage can also be downloaded for free, subject to a fair-use limit.

A fair use limit of 5 requests for footage per year applies. After you have made 5 requests, only requests from a platform operator (e.g. Uber), your insurer (as part of an investigation into an accident), a third-party insurer (as part of an investigation into an accident), or the police will be provided for free. All other requests will be subject to an administration fee of £25 (subject to change).

No, you'll be eligible for up to 1 vehicle change per year. After this, it'll be £50.

Unfortunately, we do not fit a rear-facing Dashcam. Our experience in the industry has shown that this view is not vital to supporting PCO drivers when involved in an incident.

Otto Car will continue to monitor the health of all Dashcams and notify PCO drivers of any change in circumstances. Once notified, it is your responsibility to arrange an appointment to rectify any issue.

You'll need permission first, otherwise we won't be install the dashcam in your PCO car.
