Halloween and Bonfire Night: How to drive safely as a PCO driver

With days getting shorter, it can be challenging to drive at night. The good news is that you can make more money when this is a great time for Halloween parties and fireworks nights.

The shorter days and poor weather cause problems for even the most experienced Uber driver. Pay extra attention as it is very likely that there is an increase in pedestrians, especially when you’re driving around residential areas.

Here are Otto Car’s top tips on how to drive safely at this time of year:

Don’t get distracted by dressed up party goers and fireworks
Look out for children and animals
Pick up and drop off passengers considerably
Drive at the right speed for the road conditions
Turn on your lights before it’s dark

You can’t choose your destinations but you do have more control than you think – and even a little planning helps a lot. Researching when and where events happen lets you predict hotspots and make choices.
