What is the Accelerate Scheme?

Our Accelerate Scheme is an exclusive offer to kickstart your Uber journey. Designed specifically for new Uber drivers, you’ll have the chance to get on the road quickly and affordably. We don’t run credit checks – we believe everyone deserves a fair start.

To support the start of your Uber journey, you’ll get:

• Discounted EV rentals on our PCO Car Hire plan: Access to Uber-ready EVs at reduced rates for the first 3 months while you work out if it’s the right car for you and your business.
• Peace of mind with our all-inclusive package: Comprehensive coverage including insurance, servicing, breakdown cover, MOT, road tax, PHV licence, and HD dashcams.
• Opportunities for car ownership: After 3 months, seamlessly transition to our Rent to Buy plan, transferring your rental payments and moving closer to owning your vehicle.
• Expert support from the Otto Car team: Guidance from our experienced team, assisting you from document uploads to getting on the road and prioritising your safety.

To qualify for the Accelerate Scheme, you must:

• Meet the standard PCO Car Hire eligibility requirements, including:
  1. Live and work in Greater London
  2. Minimum age of 25 years old (max 65)
  3. Must already hold a valid PCO licence & be registered with a platform
  4. Maximum 6 points on your licence
  5. Maximum 2 fault accidents
• Be a new Uber Partner in London (with up to 100 completed trips)

Once these main requirements have been confirmed by our team, you’ll be ready to get started on the Accelerate Scheme.

How do I get started on the Accelerate Scheme?

You’ll begin with a 12-week PCO Car Hire plan at a discounted weekly rate. You’ll choose from a range of low-cost EVs, hand- picked by our team, approved by Uber, and discounted to launch your driving career and boost your earnings.

At the end of your 12-week PCO Car Hire plan contract, you’ll have a range of flexible options to choose from. Here’s a step-by-step guide of your options:

• Switch to a Rent to Buy plan (in the same car) – You can transfer all rental payments you’ve made so far and won’t need to pay a new down payment, saving you thousands in the long run.
• Choose a new PCO car – Your previous down payment will transfer and you’ll just pay the difference, but past rental payments won’t carry over to your new contract.
• Stay on your PCO Car Hire plan – You can continue renting your current car, but your weekly payments will revert to the standard pricing.
• Return the car – You’ll get your deposit back, subject to standard Terms and Conditions.
